It could be one of the reasons below;

- The link you are using doesn't exist anymore
- The avatar is over the size limit
- If you are using it straight from your PC you could have deleted it, or it might not support the format type you are using.

Ahh, I think it may be a problem with the forums, not you. As I am getting it aswell, I will contact the site owners and see if they can sometime fix it.
