You should do something with herblore aswell :) ...it's an easier skill to level provided you have some cash and...well...no offence, but 31 is just an...unimpressivle number...idk

You may absolutely dispise the skill or have a reason for keeping it 31, heck, we're different people, just far uneven skills bother me (I'm a hippocrite; I know ;) )

LOL!!! 31! that's hilarious! Obviously you haven't looked at the updated pics. Runecraft is my lowest now at 40, and herblore is the only other under 50, at 48. I did a bunch of stuff growin ranarr seeds, but had to stop to get my inf and basically force myself to train other things, like the none buyable skills.

Thanks for the comment though, but as for a skill i hate, i really don't think there is one. Sure, there are skills i could do more of then others *cough* Cooking *cough* ^_^ But i love all skills the same deep down.

Well, now that that's been...erm...realized, keep striding for the rest of thoes goals! :D

Hmm, speak for yourself. I enjoy nearly all skills equally, but detest Construction for some reason. I'm not sure why, it has nothing to do with the price, though. :)

Getting back onto topic, your an excellent skiller, you shouldn't have to worry about getting into this clan. I'm sure Zzzamorak will agree that you are not a combat player, and will let you in. And for those that call you a Mage Pure, i'm not sure how many times you've said...

Thanks for the support, it means alot yew. Probably more then yew'd know (heh, couldn't resist the pun) I just now found out a pretty emotional blow just hit me. I personally like to write a lot and i've had people that inspired me on the forums i post.

I just found out that today, 3/31/07 at 10:53 eastern time.... That one of the writers that deeply inspired me.... Has died....

I only wish i had gotten to know him better, and I plan on taking a bit of time off to mourn and reflect on his loss...

That is all i have to say for now...

I may have to go and cry for a bit now... But don't worry about me, i just need time to take this in and adjust... i'll be alright....

Time heals all wounds...

I'm very sorry for your loss. :( I, like many, know how it feels to loose someone close to them that was very influencial too them. :cry:I'm not sure what else to say. :?

Now I don't have the heart to comment on the 'yew' pun (which I can say was not the first one I've heard). Once again, sorry. A post does not feel like alot of help...

I'm at least better now that i have gotten some feelings out. Just knowing someone is there can mean a lot...

For now... I've dedicated my Signature to a poem I wrote for his memory... I hope you all can take something away from this to turn for the better...

I will write this to help Zzz make a decition(or people who read this to get an opinion). (Only questions, neither supporting or non-supporting)

Personally, I think he could get back in because he has shown how much he want to be in here and also been a former member.

Anyway:

What is the unique thing about non-combat players?
Is it many disadvantages, the "purity" or something else?

When are people considered to be non-combat players?
Is it the "Black D-hide skillers" or non-combat players who only got combat for the good looking "Meat tenderiser"?
Would you think a player who is wearing Black/Blue/Red/Green D-hide a combat person or a non-combat person? With 10 hp of course, cannon style.
Where is the limit if you do?

What advantages can Bouncerburns get with these Magic levels and what advantages can a pure ranger get?
Are advantages in combat important and should it matter?

Is it possible to take advantage of the idea about exceptions if you go too far?

Are none of these questions important, and it is only what "outsiders" of the clan would think?

Personally, I find that lower combat level, higher skills generates one of three things.

One: Feelings of anger, possibly jealousy, usually followed by the response "Main level?", "Noob", "Drop Trader", or "Show off"

Two:
Feelings of confusing, possibly resulting in the comments "Hacker", "Woah, how is/can a noob use [Insert Item Name/have such a high level?", or "Are you a Jagex Mod?"

Three:
Feelings of respect, hopefully with comments (not in a sarcastic way) "Nice levels", "Cool", the occasional "Wow, is that possible", and of course "Can I have free stuff" in many forms...

What is the unique thing about non-combat players?
It is more of a challenge, and as listed above can give you respect that being a higher level would normally be considered 'normal'. A low level player like this usually gives off a strange feeling of... power maybe?

When are people considered to be non-combat players?
It depends on your outlook of where the middle ground is between high and low level characters. Zzamorak feels that 30 is the max, though you may feel 50 or 60 is. Usually, the level tells people if they think a person is with combat or not, not what they wear.

Are advantages in combat important and should it matter?
Of course there are advantages in combat. You can do many things lower levels have much difficulty doing. But being a low level can have many of its own advantages, honest (skillers...usually) or dishonest (pures).

Are none of these questions important, and it is only what "outsiders" of the clan would think?
Well, maybe not exactly "important", but these questions are certainly thought provoking.

Well... Today 4/2/07 at 1:00 A.M. Eastern standard time...

I got 78 prayer

Also... in another aspect... i gained another level.... one i wasn't expecting and threw me way off the course that had previously been charted....

78 prayer grew me to 45 combat

I know... I Know....

I said 80 prayer wouldn't level me, and to my knowledge, i was speaking the truth... But, even mathmatical equatioins can be wrong... and this was proven herein...

According to the calculations I did, using a few different combat calculators... 80 prayer would see me as a 44.7... Well... without even saying, those calculators were off...

But don't think of this as a bad indication, but think positively.

When Life hands you Lemons, Make Lemonade...

I'd like to apply that to this situation...

I already have the bones in my bank and already 600 used up, and 140k exp gained in prayer. If the continuance of prayer to 80 ensues, think 2 total levels, a second 80+ stat AND about another 300k+ total Exp.

Let's just look at it from that perspective. And as everyone knows, Prayer levels give 0.125 combat per, and now knowing that i am anywhere from 45.0-45.12 cb, and i gain 7 more prayer levels... Crunch the numbers yourself No matter what, i can get to 85, if i get the bones, and i WILL still be 45, even if it was 45.9, still 45. Not saying i will, but if i chance across the bones, i just might. (unlikely i'll chance across that many bones though)

Well, that's it for now, i'm going to resume proceeding onto 80 prayer, considering i can't turn back time and un-level myself. No other option but to accept what has happened as new fact, Take the knowledge learned, apply it and move forward.

That is all for now...

Yeah they were meant to be a bit odd and I asked questions because with questions like that I thought you could make a very good discussion. I had no idea if I succeeded making such questions and that's why I added that question in the end :P.

I didn't care to answer them myself either because that is not why I made them.

Edit: Another reason why I said no first was because Zzz posted a very well thought, pedagogical post.

He said, with prayer and defence it still takes twenty minutes to kill a chicken and that someone with 10 attack and 70 defence wouldn't qualify an exception. I completely agreed with that post.

I though magic levels mean very much. At level 50 magic you can hit up to 14s(15s potted) NO I AM NOT SAYING YOU ARE A MAGE PURE!! There are so many types of armours and I felt that prayer levels could be used as an excuse to get in and it is a combat skill after all.
There are also armours which requires strength and defence even though they are high level as far as I know. If they were low level armour I wouldn't see the difference between that and Infinity.

Don't get me wrong, I want Bouncerburn back but I cannot think of any good guidelines which does not encourage people getting combat and still let Bouncerburns in.

Out of curiousity, what Calculators were you using? The one I am looking at says that when you had 77 Prayer, you were at 44.87 combat. Upon getting 78, you were 45.12 combat. Once you get 80, you will have 45.37 combat.

But I guess it's too late to do anything about it. Congratulations on the level. Though your pushing it alittle. Hope this doesn't affect your chances of getting in at all.
