Another note. If you're participating, you will NOT be allowed to change your display name during the skill war. The tracking scripts cannot work around any username modifications.

It seems like Nick, the administrator over at Skill Union, is using google docs to track the experience gains. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure it's possible to edit the document so that it takes the 'Current Experience' from the hiscores page of the account's new name. I'm not sure how Peacefull is planning on tracking our experience, so this might not be possible for us.

Plus if somebody does change their name and we can't mess with the tracker, we could always just do the math at the end of the war. The tracker should still have their starting experience, and final experience will be on the hiscores so it's not really a problem.

Not planning on changing mine, just providing an alternative to completely cutting somebody out of the war if they decide to change their name.

It wouldn't have their starting experience as if you're under a new name it'll track the exp you're at after adding it. Simply put: You can't change the name of a person on a tracker and you can't add them new again because it will only have the beginning exp of when added.

Well that might be the case using whatever tracker you use, but if you used Google Docs for tracking, it's possible (and even easy) to deal with a name change. You just have to change where the document grabs one of it's numbers.

Anyways, the person won't be removed from the tracker when they change their name so we'll still have their starting experience from when the competition started, then all we have to do is subtract that from their experience on the Hiscores when the competition ends.

Changing names shouldn't be a problem, as long as the person lets somebody know that they've changed their name.

EDIT: I'd also like to let you guys know that from the 23rd on I won't be able to gain much, which cuts me out of the last couple of days. Hopefully I can get a decent amount of experience before then, but if Runecrafting fills up and somebody else thinks they can be around all seven days feel free to let them replace me.

And Nick you spelled Thieving wrong on your tracker :P

I could probably help a bit in this. I've been meaning to no-life mining anyway.

All Lov3 Me - Mining.

if someone else wants to do mining instead of me, I'm happy to do something else, like fishing.

Meh. I'll fix it at the final edit, on Friday night. After that, only usenames can be changed. And I will PM Tazo with any changes.

I guess you can put me down as Runecrafting.

Username - "Ryan Collins" - starting experience - 13,863,240 (ish) I will edit this later probably.

Thought I'd join in on the fun here, thanks to Lilly <3
