all though many of the clan will say no because of your cook lvl, and i admit i usually would, too, i will say welcome to the clan, because your cooking isn't your only stat. nice 80 fishing :D

edit: the change in requirements is that the total exp you need is going to be increased, but seeing as you submitted your application before the change, you should be all right

Skill total as a requirement

Some suggested skill total as a requirement. It would be nice if applicants trained all their skills instead of just one, but to require it by having a skill total requirement would be a bad idea. Many people train only some skills, train one skill at a time to 99, or keep their total off the highscores on purpose while having high skills. These people are often very good skillers, and should be allowed in the clan.
Also, it would be too hard to find a fair level for the requirement. 7 mil exp divided equally on all skills would give a total of 1000+, which is too high. And if we used total on highscores people could get in with as low as 3 mil exp.

Different requirements for f2p and p2p

As long as we stick to an exp requirement and not a skill total requirement, this doesn't seem to be neccessary.
It is easier to train for members, but I don't think the difference is so big that we have to have different requirements. It would also be difficult to administrate, we would have to require screenshots of the applicants skills instead of just looking them up in highscores, and not everyone know how to make screenshots. It would also raise a lot of questions about people who became members just before applying, people who used to be members, members who just train f2p skills and so on.

And simple requirements are better than complicated ones:)

Increased exp requirement

The suggested increase in exp range from keeping it at 7 mil exp to as high as 25 mil exp.

Buyable skills

There is a lot of suggestions about limiting the use of buyable skills to reach the requirements:

- Not counting exp in fletching and cooking
- Only counting 1 mil each in fletching and cooking
- Require 99 in fletching or cooking
- Only counting 2 mil in fletching and cooking
- Only counting 5 mil in fletching and cooking
- Only counting half of the exp in fletching and cooking
- Half of the exp must be in other skills than fletching, cooking and firemaking

Almost all suggestions limit fletching and cooking, not all buyable skills. In my opinion there is a big difference between fletching and cooking and the other buyable skills. You don't lose a lot of cash by fletching or cooking, you just need some cash to get started. The other buyable skills requires you to spend a lot of money without getting it back afterwards, so fewer people train these skills for exp.
I think it would be enough to limit fletching and cooking, since I don't expect a lot of applications from people with 93 construction or something similar Razz

My suggestion

We change the requirement to 7 mil exp, where minimum 3.5 mil exp must be in skills other than fletching and cooking.

This would mean that people would have to train slower and harder skills as well, someone with 99 cooking and nothing else would not qualify.

A lot of people have mentioned that it's not that easy to get 7 mil exp as a new skiller, and I have to agree on that. Since we have limited the amount of fletching and cooking exp they can use, they have to train slower skills a lot more. I think that is enough to remove the need for very high exp requirements like 20-25 mil exp.
I suggest we keep the exp requirement at 7 mil for now, and look at how the new applicants train to get into the clan for a while. If it seems that 7 mil exp is too easy even without fletching and cooking, we could increase the requirement a bit in a few months or so.

If noone has any big objections to this, I'll change it tomorrow. As always, this does not affect people already in the clan, and people who have posted applications before the change is accepted under the old requirements.

That =O Welcome to clan peacefull, I suggest getting up them non-buyables though!

Hehe, nice job; welcome! :D

Offtopic: Pfft, we should make the total req include total level...else I wasted like 2 weeks getting up construction, RC, agility, wc, farming, etc...basically any of the skills I won't work on while getting the exp req... ;) Ah well...I'm still at the 2M exp mark, it'd take me a while anyway
